Roleplay Guidelines

Section 1: Map Claims and Territory

  1. Each nation may have a maximum claim of 25,000 pixels
  2. No area south of the Antarctic Circle may be claimed
  3. Claims must be approved by the Arch-Administrator or Cartographer.
  4. Coastal claims shall be limited to 15 miles. This does not apply to internal waters.

Section 2: World Setting

  1. This is a closed-world roleplay: real-world nations do not exist in the roleplay world
  2. Modern technology shall be used within year 2060 limits
  3. Magic and fantasy elements may be used in the roleplay

Section 3: Basic Conduct

  1. Roleplay involving other nations require the consent of those nations
  2. The use of overpowered statistics beyond any reasonable parameters is prohibited
  3. The Roleplay Council may enforce limits on players and player nations

Section 4: Calendar

  1. The current roleplay year shall be the current real-world year plus 700
  2. The current roleplay month shall be the current real-world month
  3. The current calendar era is known as the Standard Era. Years in the Standard Era may be noted by themselves or with SE.
  4. Years before 1 SE are noted with BSE (Before Standard Era) and are counted backwards

Section 5: Species

  1. Humans, elves, dwarves, and orcs shall be the default species permitted
  2. Additional species are permitted within reasonable parameters
  3. The Roleplay Council may moderate species as needed

Section 6: War Conduct

Subsection 1: General War Conduct

  1. A new player, upon joining the roleplay, may not start or join any war whatsoever for the first fourteen days
  2. Wars between two nations require permission and oversight from the Roleplay Council

Subsection 2: Weapons of Mass Destruction

  1. Weapons of Mass Destruction, as well as magical actions, spells, or devices amounting to mass destruction, are not permitted without permission from the Roleplay Council
  2. There shall be five categories of WMDs, listed as follows
    • Arcane
    • Chemical
    • Biological
    • Nuclear
    • Radiological
  3. Permissions shall be granted separately for each category

Section 7: NPCs

  1. NPC nations may be added to the map by the Roleplay Council
  2. NPC nations shall be controlled by the Roleplay Council
  3. Interactions with NPC nations require the consent of the Roleplay Council

Section 8: Statistics

  1. Exchange rates are determined with currency units.
    • 1 Cedresian Standard Unit (CSU) = 1 USD
    • 1 Cedresian Relative Unit (CRU) = 1 Intl$
  2. The Human Development Index (HDI) is replaced by the Sentient Development Index (SDI)
